Brioche Basics

In this class, students will learn the basic brioche knit (BRK) and brioche Purl (BRP) stitches and practice the stitches on a single color swatch until you feel you’ve established a muscle memory. Then we will move on to apply those two stitch techniques in a two-color basic brioche. Swatch your way to a hot pad, a scarf, you decide!
Materials: 2 colors of worsted weight yarn (contrasting colors) and bring needles sized US 5 to 8 (i.e. 1-2 sizes below recommendation for yarn). (long double points or circular.)

Level of experience: Intermediate
Students must be proficient with knitting basics: cast on, bind off, knit stitch, and purl stitch either in Continental or English style knitting.
