We are so excited to offer crochet classes with Miranda!
This two-hour class will cover all the basics you need to get started. Foundation chains, slip stitches, single crochet and double crochet stitches, turning chains, how to count your stitches, and gauge.
Miranda will also discuss the history and nature of crocheted fabric and what it’s particularly good for.
A pattern for a pair of basic hand-warmers and a cowl (all worked flat and seamed) will be provided, as well as yarn guidance for a good first crocheting experience!
For the handwarmers and cowl, as well as some extra to practice with, you will need approximately 600 yards of smooth dk or worsted wool, cotton, or blend of the two. We welcome you bring yarn from home (previously purchased at PBYS please ;) or arrive a few minutes early and we’ll help you select your perfect yarn on the day of the class!
